Lower Merion Aquatic Club (LMAC) is in the Suburban Aquatic League (SAL).

We are in the West Division of the National Conference of the SAL.

The SAL website is www.suburbanaquatic.org

You can check the Sal website each week for the Meet Results – Your child’s name,

times and place will be posted here.

Championships – These are like All-Star events. These are not dual meets.

Division Champs – Every swimmer can go – The Coach will pick your events.

League Champs- Swimmers must qualify for this meet. This is for the League’s

                                      fastest swimmers.

League Champs-

This meet is for the fastest 18 swimmers in each event in each age group for the entire League. Fast swimmers who have a chance to make the top 18, can check their standings on the SAL website by clicking on to the “Top 40 List”. A swimmer’s position on the “Top 40 List” can change after every meet. The “Last Chance Meet” will be the last change for positions on the “Top 40 List”. If some swimmers on the top 18 chose not to swim in that event in the League Champs; then swimmers from number 19 to 40 or higher move in position until the league has the18 swimmers needed for that event.

Sportsmanship

- Please – Parents and children should be good sports.

- No booing. Do not say negative things to the other team. Children - Do not say “you

stink” to the other team. We want a good experience for our team and for the other

    team.

- Cheering and celebrating is ok.

- Parents - Be positive and supportive of your children at the swim meet. The time for constructive criticism is after the meet when your child is not as emotional. Your children are nervous and emotional at the meets, especially when they do not win.

New Bus Policy:

  •  Parents must give coaches or team reps. a note if the  parents want their child to ride the bus home from a swim meet.

  •  Buses must leave Lower Merion High School at the posted departure time.

  •  Please get to Lower Merion early for the bus. The coaches do not want the buses to get to the meet late.
